Bernadette has experience in class actions, employment law, breach of contract, franchise law, shareholder disputes, personal injury and medical malpractice, professional negligence claims, intellectual property, and general commercial litigation.
Bernadette’s background includes working at a litigation boutique and a full-service firm in Toronto. She has worked on large matters, requiring in-depth knowledge of documentation, strategy and law. She has attended pre-trial conferences and argued motions, as well as appeals, in the Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court. Bernadette’s experience includes working on a highly complex shareholder misrepresentation class action, and a breach of confidence and corporate espionage claim involving two major Canadian airlines.
Bernadette represented her law school in the Laskin Moot competition. During law school and also during her undergraduate and graduate studies, Bernadette received a number of scholarships and awards.
