Jeff focuses his practice on legal research and drafting, as well as providing support on Bates Barristers’ litigation matters. He has previous experience in labour and employment law, intellectual property litigation, and general commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Bates Barristers, Jeff articled with the Ministry of Labour and worked for a number of years practicing commercial litigation and employment law at a number of well-respected mid-sized and boutique law firms. Throughout his career he has been instrumental in performing complex research on a variety of matters. In addition, he has acted as the research and project manager for a prominent legal recruitment firm.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University and is currently working towards his Masters of Law degree at York University. Jeff won a number of awards during law school for academic excellence and intends to maintain the same high standards in all the work he does with Bates Barristers.
As a result of his varied background, focusing on both the academic and the practical, Jeff understands the value of providing a thorough legal analysis and preparing concise, accurate materials on a time-sensitive schedule. |
